What is Fly-N-High Waverunners?

Fly-N-High Waverunners is a top-rated jet ski rental company located in Madeira Beach, Florida, just minutes from John’s Pass. We offer premium Sea-Doo jet ski rentals with one of the largest riding areas on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Where are you located?

We are conveniently located in Madeira Beach, Florida, near John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk, making us an easy stop for visitors staying in Treasure Island, St. Pete Beach, Redington Beach, Indian Shores, and Clearwater Beach.

What are your hours?

We are open daily, weather permitting from 9am to 5pm.

How much does it cost to rent a jet ski?

Our pricing is per jet ski, not per person. Each jet ski can carry up to three riders with a combined maximum weight of 450 pounds. Check out the book button to see Availability and Special pricing.

Is the price per person?

No. The rental price is for the entire jet ski, regardless of whether one, two, or three people ride together (within the weight limit).

At what time should I arrive for my reservation?

Please arrive 1 Hour prior to reservation. This way, you will have time to check in, read all liability forms, sign waivers, receive instruction by staff, and, if needed, do your boater’s license test. Also, arriving 1 Hour minutes early allows you to not cut into your reservation time.

How do I get my boater’s license?

According to the FWC, if you were born after January 1st 1988, you are legally required to have a boater’s license while operating a watercraft. We can provide you with a boater’s license on this web site by clicking the “Florida Temporary Boaters License” button at the bottom of the page. You must arrive 1 hour prior to your booking time if you or anyone in your party needs to take a test.

How old do you need to be to rent/drive a waverunner?

You must be 18 years or older to rent one while having a Safe Boating Test on you. If younger than 18 a parent or guardian must be present.

How much is the security deposit?

We apply a hold on a Credit Card for $300 per waverunner. Upon post rental inspection, we issue the deposit right away. If you use a credit card, it is normally refunded immediately depending on your bank.

What is the cancellation policy?

We don’t offer any last-minute cancellation/refund. The cancellation would need to be done within 24 hours before the booking date and time. Cancellations must be done by phone only, so you cannot email, text, or just leave a message. There are no refunds if cancelled within 24 hours.

What if there’s poor weather conditions on my rental day?

We will offer a reschedule option for another day. If this does not fit into your vacation, then we will issue a refund.

How fast do the jet skis go?

Our Sea-Doo jet skis provide an exciting ride while operating within safe speed limits set for our riding area.

Do I need experience?

No experience is necessary. We’ll teach you everything you need to know before you head onto the water.

Is this a guided tour? Will someone ride with us?

No. After your safety briefing, you’ll enjoy riding independently within our designated riding area.

Can we ride together?

Yes. Families and groups can ride together within our riding area while each operating their own rental or sharing a jet ski.

What if I’ve never ridden a waverunner before?

Not to worry! All customers will be given a tutorial by our friendly staff on how to safely operate the watercraft. This is one of the reasons we need you onsite 1 Hour before your booking time.

Will we see dolphins?

Many of our guests see dolphins during their rental. While wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed, dolphins are frequently spotted in Gulf of America and Boca Ciega Bay.

What wildlife might we see?

Guests often see: Dolphins, Manatees (seasonally), Pelicans, Ospreys, Stingrays, Various coastal birds.

Do you provide life jackets?

Yes. Every rider receives a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket.

Should I reserve ahead of time?

Yes. Reservations are highly recommended, especially during weekends, holidays, and summer.

Can I book online?

Yes. Online booking is available 24/7 through our website here.

Do you accept walk-ins?

Yes, based on availability. Reservations receive priority.

What should I wear?

We recommend: Swimsuit, Sunglasses with strap, Sunscreen, Water shoes or sandals, and towel(s).

Where can we ride?

Fly-N-High offers one of the largest designated riding areas in Madeira Beach, giving riders plenty of room to explore and enjoy the water safely.

Can we ride in the Gulf of Mexico?

Yes. Our riding area is located in the Gulf Waters and in our protected local waterways, providing calmer conditions. Both ride areas are ideal for beginners and experienced riders.

Are you close to John's Pass?

Yes. We’re located in John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk on the East end.

What do I bring with me?

We do recommend protective eyewear while riding. Please wear sunscreen, proper active/swimwear, and towels to dry off. We provide life vests and have various sizes available. We also have free lockers onsite for you to use.

Do you have free parking?

Unfortunately, we do not have free parking. There are plenty of parking by plate spots throughout the village or a large parking garage on the west end of the boardwalk.

What is the maximum weight a waverunners can hold?

We recommend that the maximum weight does not exceed 450 lbs and no more than three people at a time.

How many hours can we rent a waverunner?

We offer three different rentals, 1 Hour Rental, 1.5 Hour Rental and 2 Hour Rental. You can book any of these right from this website or by calling us. We allow 1 switch out per hour, This means that if you have more then three guests you can come back one time in your hour to switch out with each other. This will cut into your ride time so we suggest that renting two waverunners would be better value.
